30th March, 2010. We have been busy over the last three weeks with calving on the farm. This is one of the busiest times of year on the farm as most of the cows give birth outside, over a 6 week period.
When a cow is calving sometimes it needs assistance to help the calf out. This calf took most of Sunday evening too arrive after a lot of encouragement.

This 2 day old calf has been put in the stable and is being bottle fed until she works out how to suckle naturally. She’ll soon get her strength up and head out to field to rejoin the herd.
With the plenty more pregnant cows on the farm it’s set to be a busy week!
